About admission at astounding ranks at dce?

according to opening n closing rank at dce for year2010-2011 for different branches.for the obc category(either outside delhi or of delhi region),the rank seemed to go very low.that is to say,obc candidates with 50k ranks easily get admission in branches lyk civil,automoile,software,production,chem… is it that dce hs degraded its quality?(i hope not cause otherwise it wud'nt have been at 8 th rank at all india best engg. collg).that is why more qualified students are not trying to take admission at dce.or such students with such ranks have always been taking admission at dce from a long tym?.....or more people dont know about admission at dce at such ranks?
