Can a 14 year old go on a train by himself? 10 Points!!!?

I am a 14 year old guy and I live 2 and a half hours away from Chicago. I am about to start Hip Hop dance classes there. I was going to go by train with my friend that is also 14 because she is in the same class. Will I be able to travel alone or do I need a parent?
