Can a long distance relationship work? Any songs about long distance? ?

I am 13 years old and I live in Chicago. I have a boyfriend that is going to highschool and I'm going into 8th grade..we agreed on still being together no matter what...but our love is so strong but I still doubt it because there are many girls in Highschool that would be better and prettier than me...would this long distance relationship work? Also is there any songs about long distance relationships and missing him and loving him and true love? Thanks(:
